Trendy settings

thumbnail

CSS Legend Dan Cederholm has started a trend of forcing a re-design of a site by stripping away his CSS and then re-building his site as-live, for all of us to witness. This is a cracking idea, and has spawned a couple of followers who have taken his lead and done the same.

Here’s why it’s so good; it proves to the great unwashed that a well designed, semantically appropriate site doesn’t need styling to be usable. Sure it helps, but the if the site is still a great resource to visit, with good content that entertains its readers, then how ‘good’ the site looks is but a wonderful extra cherry on a beautiful cake of love and dreams.

Oh, and I did it first. Nyah nyah na-nyah nyah! ;)

Damn it! If only I’d kept screengrabs…
