British Rouge Society

British Rouge Society homepage

Rebranded, redesigned, refreshed and revitalised — the British Rouge Society wanted a new, elegant look for their planned new website that would easily seperate them from the rest of the flock.

I worked closely with the society to provide a web presence for them that was sophisticated, mature and would cater directly to the the society’s audience without the need to ram it down their throats.
Basically, they wanted the best web site in their field. Baa none.

As ever, the site is a highly accessible build, based on HTML and CSS to allow for the widest possible audience to view the site’s content.
Accessible, javascript enhanced navigation allowed easy traversing of the site, and a few user interface flourishes.
The society makes use of Picasa web albums to store images online — therefore the comprehensive Google API was used to allow this rich vein of content to be harvested.
The use of WordPress as the back end system allowed the site to be easily updated by multiple users, none of whom required any subsequent HTML training, and allowing for future upscaling of the site’s function if required.
